Journey of my life chapter 13

Our life continued as if nothing happened after the accident. We moved on with our lives. Things use to happen as if it was in the movies or stories I use to hear people talk about. But in reality me and my family we were victims of that life people use to see in the movies. Sorrows, poverty and pains was our story. But not even once we questioned God. We were raised to accept every situation life throws at us. But again we were taught not to give up in life. And my parents taught us to pursue our dreams no matter what.

Since I was young I was born with a talent of dancing. I managed to open my own dancing group. And I started dancing and organising dancing shows. Every time I use to come back from school I would organise young girls to come and practice dance steps. So that they can stay away from the streets. My parents gave me every support I needed to see my dream come true.

They gave me every support a daughter could ever ask from her parents. They knew that it was my dream to become a dancer and I had that vision since I was five years old. They bought every uniform I needed for my crew. They made me see life in a different way. Being not able to afford a good life for us but seeing their only kids happy and they did everything in their power to help us not to go on the wrong path of life.

They made sure that even though we grew up in pains and sorrows. But they could help us achieve our dreams no matter what life throws at them. Whatever they could afford to help us achieve our dream they will make sure they stand behind us and help us to achieve all of them. After few months I was able to get a dancing contract for my crew.

We won a dancing competition and we were selected to dance for a powerful artist in South Africa called (Mafikizolo) . It was our break through, they gave us a chance to be known in the community. My dancing group name was Survivors. I named the group Survivors because of what me and my family went through and we always survived in everything life throw at us. We became known in my community and my dreams were becoming reality. So many artists use to come and book us for shows. We got a contract from a big dancing school called Jr best dancers at Johannesburg.

My parents were behind us through thick and thin. They made sure that me and my crew didn’t lack anything when it comes to transport fees. Because most of my crew members their parents never supported them to become dancers. Because they thought it was a useless dream to pursue. But my parents always believed that some day we will make it in life if we believe in what we were doing.

And years past and me and my younger sister finished our high school. And my parents had no money to take both of us to university so they decided that my younger sister should go to university.  While I stay at home,my heart was broken and shattered.
