I am glad I took time to study my mother in law and I am happy that both of us are bonding very well. I use to think she hates me but now I understand. Why she was not able to reach out to me.
Not everyone has the stereotypically terrible mother-in-law or daughter-in-law relationship. For the most part, if you are cool with your spouse’s mom, she will be cool with you. The signs your mother-in-law likes you. have everything to do with how respectful and noncompetitive she is toward you and vice-versa.
Most of Mother-in-laws are afraid that another woman has come in to their son’s life and they feel threatened because, they think all the attention and the love they use to have from their sons will be moved to the new woman in the son’s life. So it’s hard to have another woman in your child’s life whose opinion will be more valued and advice is taken.
Because we all know that the wife replaces the mother, when the child gets married to the love of their life. The mother has no choice but to take a backseat to their spouse, which can be difficult. But, as long as the daughter-in-law understands what her partner’s mom is going through, they can form a new and really wonderful relationship. I thank God I took a chance to know my mother-in-law better.

Great post and great pics of your mother-in-law. It is a blessing you get along with her and you are so right about what you said in regards to the feelings mothers have once their sons are out on their own and with their significant other. Being a mother I can totally relate to those feelings you stated, they were so on point! Respect and understanding of one another is what will make any relationship work. Great job!

Your mother in law looks wicked beautiful in her makeover. She looked nice in the before picture, but that after Ooh LA LA ! So nice that you get along with her . Some mother’s in law turn into monsters in law when their sons especially bring another woman into their lives.
