I am really excited to do this mother in law challenge. My mother in law visited us for couple of months and I decided to do a makeover on her. So that both of us can have Mother in Law and Daughter in law bond. You know sometimes is nice for a mother in law and Daughter in law to spend quality time together.

Taking the time to get to know each other can be helpful in creating a great relationship with with your mother in law. Spending time with her and ask her about her passion and things she likes. Ask her about her childhood, who knows maybe both of you have something in common that you can bond over. And also take the time to understand what makes her tick.

Spending time with my mother in law made me to know her even better. It allowed the both of us to bond without any distraction while my husband was at work. I learned that actually we both have a lot in common. Communicating with her made me realise that she is really a down to earth person. And she really like to look good and she needed a makeover. So I decided to do a five day makeover challenge with her. Check the pics down below and tell me what you think about the make over.

  2. I think she looks beautiful. You did a great job!

    I also think it’s very nice that you wanted to get to know her and put in the effort to do so. Having been married before I didn’t have that bond with my mother-in-law. I just assumed up front that she didn’t like me and while I still feel that way…lol…I guess I could have done more to give it a try – maybe I can make up next go round, Lords willing.

    1. Oh Rashonda I really do understand what you mean, at first I thought she did not like me too. I stayed for 4years thinking the same way that she hates me. But I had a talk with my mother and she advised me to have patient and give myself time to study her more. So I decided to invite her over to my house. As my mother advised me. I surprised she agreed. Now I know that she was only trying to be over protective over her son and her two granddaughters. Am glad I took my mother’s advice. You should try to get closer to your mother in law and ask God to help you. You will be surprised your prayers could be answered sooner than you think. Thank you for stopping by my dear friend.       1. Mothers are so wise, aren’t they? So glad your mother gave you wise counsel and you followed suit – now a beautiful relationship has begun. Sometimes we really do get to the bottom of issues just by talking it out or at least giving something a try.

        Well, I’m divorced and have been for years now – but maybe I’ll get another chance in another marriage (if God sees fit), he’s the God of second chances and this time, I’m going to give it an honest effort – fingers crossed, she likes me the first time she sees me…haha.       7. Tashnee, it happened so fast like a day after you prayed that prayer and everything since then, has been “aww” moments. I’m still praying and asking for wisdom and I’ve put him before God since day one, but oh MYYYYY. I’m speechless too. Thanks so much Love! May God bless you and your family reallllllllll good.
